See Alexandra Uppman at work this autumn during live drawing sessions at the museum, where she will be creating a special on-site piece as part of the exhibition Land in Motion. Transforming People and Nature.

The final work will be a large-scale triptych oil-based charcoal drawing, depicting a landscape that highlights the beauty of nature and forestry with subtle references to the artist’s affinity for folklore and ancient practices. In light of the rapid decline in native insect populations and plant species, she seeks to share her perspective on the natural world through her own eerie lens.

Alexandra Uppman will be at the museum every day working on her piece from 15 September to 15 November, and you are welcome to observe her at any time. However, we have arranged special Thursday evening sessions where visitors can interact with the artist and discuss her process and work.
