The restoration of works on paper by the artist Berthe Brincour
This talk explores the restoration of Berthe Brincour's works on paper, at the intersection of scientific, technical and ethical approaches. Through case studies, it underlines the importance of material analysis as a basis for conservation and highlights the challenges posed by the fragility of paper. It also questions ethical choices in restoration and display: how far to intervene, and how to preserve the integrity of the work while ensuring its readability.
The talk will be held in French.
