Event

For one night a year, our museums do the opposite of what they normally do: they stay open. On Saturday 10 October, from 17h00 to 01h00, the Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart and the Musée Dräi Eechelen open their doors long past closing time for the 25th Nuit des Musées.

Eight hours, two museums, one wristband. The Nuit des Musées turns 25 this year, and both our sites take part, each offering a very different evening.

Nationalmusée um Fëschmaart

Five floors in the heart of the old town, open until the middle of the night. The same galleries you know in daylight, without the daytime crowd and without the daylight. On view during the Nuit: From Renoir to Monet. Impressionism from the Rau Collection, Tina Gillen. Last Floor (2002), Berthe Brincour (1879 to 1947) and Vu Lilien a Linnen.

Musée Dräi Eechelen

An 18th century fort on the Kirchberg plateau, open in the dark. Stone, casemates and the courtyard, plus the permanent exhibition on the fortress of Luxembourg and the identities it shaped, seen at the hour the fortress actually mattered.
